You will be asked in general terms the nature of your problem so that you may be scheduled with an appropriate mental health professional. In some cases, you may be routed to a member of the clinical staff for a telephone assessment to determine if CCS services would be appropriate. If clinical staff determines CCS services would not be appropriate, you will be given information on services available from other agencies if possible.
CCS does charge a fee for services and accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance. Financial case managers are also available if you do not have a payment source to see if you might quality for a program such as Medicaid. If you request an appointment with a therapist who is not covered by your insurance after being informed that therapist is not covered, you are responsible for payment of all fees. Private payments are due at the time of service.
Emergency appointments may be available after telephone consultation with a mental health professional.
Your appointment will be scheduled with the first available mental health professional unless you have a specific request, your insurance only pays for therapists with specific credentials, or your insurance only pays for providers who have been approved in advance by the insurance company. Support staff is responsible for determining insurance company requirements where possible.
In some cases, a referral from your Primary Care Physician (PCP) is required by Medicaid or insurance companies before they will pay for services provided by CCS. It is your responsibility to obtain this referral.
All mental health professionals employed by CCS meet requirements determined by the Arkansas Division of Mental Health Services for a mental health professional and are licensed in the State of Arkansas.
Appointments are not scheduled with a psychiatrist until after initial assessment by a mental health professional.
Except in emergency situations, all paperwork for financial assessment and demographic information is completed and signed by referral prior to seeing therapist. Consent for Treatment and Payment Agreement must be signed by referral or by custodial parent or guardian if referral is under the age of 18.
Clients are rescheduled for further services at the direction of the therapist or other staff directly involved in treatment. Clients are offered appointments convenient to their schedule if possible, taking into account the therapist's schedule. Clients may be scheduled for multiple appointments at the discretion of the therapist.
