Board of Directors
Community Counseling Services, Inc., is a not-for-profit corporation which is chartered and licensed by the State of Arkansas. The corporation is governed by a self-perpetuating Board of twelve members who serve without compensation. Each county is allotted at least one Board Position.
The purpose of Community Counseling Services, Inc. is to promote and improve mental health. The organization's primary focus in on the citizens and their communities within Garland, Clark, Hot Spring, Montgomery, and Pike Counties in west central Arkansas. The corporation serves a dual role as both a service provider and a member of the community. The services provided exist along a continuum from essential treatment for the mentally ill to elective programs designed to enhance personal effectiveness. The goal is to promote and restore mental health while maintaining the fiscal responsibility of the corporation.
The Board of Directors is charged with the responsibility for:
> the overall operation of the programs and services
> the adequacy and quality of patient care
> the financial solvency of the Corporation and the appropriate use of its funds
> compliance with state statutes and requirements of licensing agencies
